Changes to my study program 馃崕


Honestly, I think that with online classes and with little experience of university it’s difficult to judge the curriculum because we are not studying under normal conditions. Taking this on consideration, I will write some things that I think may be better.

 

I don’t know how it is in person but I would like to make more practical the classes. For example, I have a friend who studies psychology in other university and for “social psychology” they are working in conjunction with a territory in spite of this context (online way). I think that its very important for put the theory into practice. I would like to have experience the day I live the university… if not I think I will arrive insecure at that moment.

 

Another change I would make would be to eliminate the “transversal”. This was the worst of last year, it is very badly organized and I think that is a mistake for a university like this. I say this because it’s very common for different careers to go on strike, and as this course is a mix of races, when this happen everything turns into chaos.  

 

Also, I think that today we are living in an era with many technological resources so this could be better used by teachers. More videos, music or something’s like that could be used to complement the classes. We are studying in a difficult moment and I think that we need more stimuli because naturally the university experience is being quite boring.

The best holidays ever 馃榿

This was in 2018, when we went with my friends to the beach. Usually we try to go on vacation together every year but this was my favorite because it was the year that more people can go. We went to Laguna, a small town with coast in V region. Our stay was one week and we got there by bus. I have a family home in this place so we used it and also we rent the neighbor´s house. Our days consisted of cooking ( this takes a lot of time because we were a big group ) then go out to the beach and when we are already there we played with the paletas, we bathed in the sea, we sunbathed and we listened to music. A ritual that we repeat every time we go this place is to eat waffles in a specific place that we are fans of 馃槀 its always the first thing we do. Spend time with my friends its always the best part of my life and when we can do it relaxed and for several days is when im happiest. I recommend  visit this place before they invade more, each year they build more and more and its filling up

Postgraduate Studies ✈✅

I consider that it’s important to take a course or specialization because this provides more knowledge and more tools that can be used in the future. Also, every day its more difficult to find a job, so the more prepared you are its better for this. I would like to study something with a feminist approach, sexuality or social psychology. These are topics that i like it because i think there is a lot to do about it. I would like to study out of Chile for two reasons. The first it’s for the experience of living in another country and meet different people. And the second one, it’s because in other countries are more developed about this topics, maybe i can talk with people who with these approaches in different ways. I really like the idea of travel specifically to study, so i would like to do a very complete course where i have to go from Monday to Friday every week. Obviously, i would like to have free time on weekend for relax, spend time with friends or go to different places.

Mental Health problemas related to a lockdown馃樂

No one expected this pandemic, this changed our routine practically overnight. I think that one of the most complicated feelings is feeling that we do not have freedom over our action, and this its so frustrating. This is why many times i feel tires because i feel that in part i have stopped being myself. I miss the posibility to go out when i want and to do what i want. So many times i really feel unmotivated but the feeling of doing nothing is much worse for me. Its for this reason that university helps me a lot (its a double-edged sword), i try to organized myself to stay in this every day until about 19:00 and then i watch series or spend time with my dad, its time to relax. Between these two things, i try to make exercise to take out a little energy and feeling better. Also, i try to make video calls with my friends constantly.  The situation its very irregular, we are all afected by pandemic, so no matter how much one wants to do an orderly routine, there are days when you do
